- Kentucky: Overweight and oversize permit from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The Kentucky segment is approximately 100 miles on I-65 northbound from the Tennessee border through Elizabethtown to Louisville. Kentucky permits processed within 24 hours — the fastest turnaround on the package.
- Indiana: Overweight and oversize permit from the Indiana Department of Transportation. The Indiana segment covers approximately 165 miles on I-65 northbound from Louisville through Indianapolis and into the Chicago metro approach. Indiana required both a front and rear pilot car for loads exceeding 9 feet 6 inches wide, which the crane carrier triggered.
- Illinois: Overweight and oversize permit from the Illinois Department of Transportation. The Illinois segment covers approximately 60 miles on I-80 and I-55 to the Joliet area.
